ZLP Mourns Ajimobi

The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in Oyo State has expressed grief over the death of the former governor of the state, Senator Abiola Ajimobi who passed away on Thursday, after a protracted illness.

According to a statement forwarded to WesternLifeNews by Alhaji Lanre Latinwo, the media assistant to Senator Rasheed Ladoja, it stated that the gubernatorial candidate of the party in the 2019 general election in Oyo State and former Secretary to the State Government, Chief Sarafadeen Abiodun Alli, on behalf of the entire members of the party and the leader, High Chief Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja condoled the Oyo State government, people of the State in general and immediate family over the demise of the former Governor of the State.

Alli described the death of the immediate past Governor as a great loss not only to his family but the whole of the State.

He stated that the former Governor was able to contribute his own quota to the development of the State and the nation in general.

“Late Abiola Ajimobi after a successful career at National Oil now (Conoil PLC) served as Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for 4 years before serving as Governor of the State for 8 years.” he said.

Barrister Alli prayed that Almighty Allah will give the people of the State, Ibadanland and the immediate family fortitude to bear the great loss.
