Protesters on Monday stormed the Redeemed Christian Church of God headquarters in Ebute Meta, Lagos.

Their protest centred around the alleged backing of the General Overseer of the RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, for the President Muhammadu Buhari Administration.

The protesters, bearing banners and led by Eedris Abdulkareem and Baba Fryo, accused Pastor Adeboye of backing President Buhari’s “maladministration”.

They accused him of not speaking out against the ills of the administration and the capture of Yobe State schoolgirl, Leah Sharibu, by Boko Haram terrorists.

The protesters said Pastor Adeboye’s support for Buhari was because of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN), who is a Pastor of the RCCG.

The protesters later stormed the Redeemed Camp along Ibadan Expressway, to have an audience with the RCCG General Overseer.

Mr. Adeboye was however said to be out of the camp.

Addressing the protester, the National Overseer, Pastor J. A. Obayemi, assured them that their message would be delivered to the General Overseer, urging them to maintain peace.
