S/West PDP: Osun Exco, LG Chairmen Meet Fayose, Declare Support For Olafeso, Jenyo

The leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State has declared support for the aspiration of Dr Eddy Olafeso, Reverend Bunmi Jenyo and Barrister Dosu Babatunde as South West chairman, Zonal Secretary, and Zonal Legal Adviser of the party respectively.

The party leaders comprising members of the state executive council and chairmen of the party at the local government made this known in a communiqué released after their meeting the former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, in his Lagos residence on Wednesday.

They also pledges their loyalty to Mr Fayose, saying; “We say, we are with you and remain with you and your leadership in the repositioning of the party in the zone.”

The communiqué was signed by the State Secretary, Prince Bola Ajao and Chairman of the Forum of Local Government Party Chairmen, Hon. Wale Oni.

The communiqué read thus; “After hospitalities and goodwill messages, the meeting/delegation resolved as follows:

“The leadership of the Osun State PDP were here first to sympathize with His Excellency Gov. Ayodele Fayose on the death of his sister.

“The Osun PDP State Leadership is also here to congratulate him on the occasion of his recent 60th birthday celebration and to wish him long life and prosperity.

“We (Osun PDP State Leadership) also solidarize with His Excellency, Governor Ayo Fayose on the unity, zoning formula for the South West Zonal Congress. We say, we are with you and remain with you and your leadership in the repositioning of the party in the zone.

“It is also resolved that we will support and vote Olorogun Dr. Eddy Olafeso for the South West Zonal Chairman and our own Rev’d Bunmi Jenyo for the Zonal Secretary and Barr. Dosu Babatunde for the Zonal Legal Adviser as well as other officers in the Unity list.”
