Senate Adjourns To July 2, Sets Up Senate Ad Hoc Committee

The senate on Thursday has adjourned its sitting to July 2, to enable the management of the federal parliament to come up with acceptable arrangements for the lawmakers’ office accommodation

Meanwhile, the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, had sworn in a 12-member ad hoc committee to work out the allocation of seats in the chamber as well as the allocation of offices to the senators.

According to Lawan, the committee, chaired by Senator Abubakar Kyari will work with the Clerk of the Senate, and expected to submit its report within two weeks.
